Our Programs

Investment Education

The SWS Comp is an immersive program during the fall and spring semesters where students gain knowledge about financial techniques, business concepts, research skills, industry paths, and SWS opportunities. Meetings are weekly one hour sessions where invited guest speakers talk about a diverse range of financial topics, and concludes with small-group stock pitches.

Investment Team

SWS Investment Team members actively manage a portfolio of $44,000 invested in various U.S. equities, directly impacting decisions through their stock pitches. Each semester, they conduct in-depth fundamental equity research, attend investment meetings, and develop core technical skills in accounting & valuation models, including DCFs.

Wall Street Trek

Each semester, Smart Woman Securities brings members on a multi-day trek across Wall Street. Students have the opportunity to visit top firms, network with employers, and learn about opportunities for summer and full-time positions. Participating companies come from industries across the financial services sector including private equity, banking, quantitative trading, and asset management.

HBS Mentorship Program

Smart Woman Securities takes pride in fostering a community of strong women. Each semester, we connect nearly 90 students across Harvard College and Harvard Business School to build relationships and form a cross-school community that supports women entering the world of finance.

Career and Mentorship

We host regular on-campus and virtual events with employers throughout the semester dedicated to interview preparation and career opportunities. In the summer, students are connected with SWS alumni working in industry across NY, SF, and other major cities.
